After one year of existence on the web, the Synergies site introduces a new interface along with refined and high-quality content. Currently, it is possible to navigate and search among nearly 90.000 articles from 160 Canadian scholarly journals. Further, more than 12.000 theses from various institutions partners have been also added to these titles. In order to provide users the access to the most recent documents, the entire content will be updated on a daily basis.

In coming weeks, more functionality will be added progressively to the site featuring the possibility of saving the search criteria, searching by disciplines and also providing access to researchers’ profile.

Finally, I would like to acknowledge the distinguished work by the development teams of the national platform and the various regional partners of the project. This exerting effort made possible to achieve our objectives, to complete a quality project and make of Synergies a rich and innovative platform.

The new interface is the outcome of several months of analysis and consultation taking our users’ needs into consideration. The results of these studies led us to reconsider in-depth the interface and various functionalities of the site. We hope that you will appreciate these changes and that they will be able to make your searching experience more pleasant.
